Nice classic stone castle. Looks as from a film. Very good food and bier. But the stairs up to the rooms are very old and the high steps make it a bit hard for oldies like us. Comfortable beds and classic rooms. Quite parking and good gardens. Well worth the money, we have stayed there three times over the years.

Wir haben hier gegessen. Die Speisen waren sehr gut zubereitet und geschmacklich sehr gut. Der Service war zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Klar Empfehlenswert. Öffnungszeiten sind nicht genau ausgeschrieben unklarwann geschlossen wird. Wir kommen gern wieder. Danke.

Geheimtipp -das ganz besondere Hotel Graues Schloss. Wir verbrachten eine richtig schöne Woche in diesem historischen Schlößchen. Tolles Frühstück neben Rittern und alten Fundstücken. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich, hier kann man sich wohlfühlen. Schöne Zimmer, das Essen war super lecker, alles frisch gekocht und vieles aus eigener Herstellung (Marmeladen, geräucherter Schinken...) Auch Extrawünsche wurden sofort erfüllt. vor 3 Tagen auf Google Leider enttäuschend. Die Kneipe wirkt stark in die Jahre gekommen, Renovierungen scheinen lange her zu sein. Preis-Leistung passt nicht, das Essen zu meinem Geburtstag war enttäuschend. Schöne Abzocke, solch eine Bewertung einzustellen und dann anrufen, "für 70€ wird es wieder entfernt"! Das beste daran ist, es sind zur Zeit Betriebsferien und somit nicht mal geöffnet!!!

Super Zimmer, der Service war sehr gut. Die Küche servierte einen ausgezeichneten Hirschbraten. Die Unterkunft ist geeignet für Wanderer und Radfahrer. (Liegt am Werra Radweg) Exkursion in den Hainich bieten sich an.
